ATLANTA, Ga. – Iowa State head men’s basketball coach Fred Hoiberg will coach one of the two teams at the 2013 Reese’s College All-Star Game, April 5 at the Final Four in Atlanta, Ga. The game is sponsored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
The Reese’s College All-Star game features 20 of the best senior college basketball players from around the nation. The game will be played at the Georgia Dome in conjunction with activities surrounding the 2013 Final Four. Complete rosters for the All-Star game will be finalized later this week.
As a senior at Iowa State in 1995, Hoiberg was named MVP of the NABC All-Star game, scoring 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc.
Hoiberg, the 2012 Big 12 Co-Coach of the Year, directed the Cyclones to their second-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and 23-win season in 2012-13. ISU, which tied for fourth in the Big 12 (11-7), currently leads the nation in 3-pointers per game (9.9) and ranks fourth nationally in scoring offense (79.4).
