From Mason City School District:
To Mason City High School families,
This morning, a staff member noticed something suspicious in front of the building. Following protocol and procedures ensuring student safety, the police department was contacted. We apologize for the late notice of the two-hour delay; it was a precautionary step to give the police department enough time to finish their investigation. We are committed to creating a safe and secure environment each and every day in and around our schools.
We will be maintaining our normal attendance policy as we guarantee the school is safe and we will operate as we have with all other 2 hour delays – starting 3rd period at 10:45 a.m.
We will still hold the National Honor Society Induction tonight in the MCHS Information Center.
Please feel free to contact the office at Mason City High School if you have additional questions, concerns, or if you have information.
