NEW ALBANY, Ind., March 14 (UPI) — The bodies of a woman and two children were found in Binford Park in New Albany, Ind., police said.
Police found the bodies in a creek in the park at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, the News and Tribune, Jefferson, Ind., reported. The names of the deceased and the cause of death have not been released.
The children appeared to be around 2 years old, said New Albany Police Department Maj. Keith Whitlow, adding that the woman was above the age of adolescence.
Whitlow said the police department is conducting a “homicide investigation” but did not give any more details on the case.
He did say that these were the first bodies found in Binford Park in nine years.
“We haven’t had many ones like this, especially with children,” Whitlow said.
