NEW YORK, March 14 (UPI) — David Letterman read a Top 10 list of “Rejected Pope Names” on “Late Show” after Argentine Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio was elected leader of the Catholic Church.
The talk-show host introduced the roster of possible names the pontiff — known as Pope Francis — may have rejected on Wednesday’s edition of the program. It read as follows —
