Yale students admit prostitution

NEW HAVEN, Conn., March 7 (UPI) — A sex workshop at Connecticut’s Yale University featured students admitting to engaging in bestiality and prostitution.

The “Sex: Am I Normal” seminar, hosted by sexologist Jill McDevitt, featured around 55 students answering questions about sex with their cellphones, with results published on a screen in real time, the New York Daily News reported Thursday.

The Yale Daily News, the New Haven university’s official newspaper, said 9 percent of the attendees admitted to having been paid for sex while 3 percent said they had engaged in sexual activity with an animal.

The school newspaper said more than half of the students reported participating in “consensual pain” during sexual encounters.

Giuliana Berry, a student who organized the event as part of Yale’s Sex Weekend, said the workshop was aimed at promoting understanding and compassion for those who engaged in “fringe sexual practices.”
