Health Department Announces a New Live Community Wellness Conversation

(Mason City) – The Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health is pleased to announce another LIVE Community Wellness Conversation with Fitness Wright Now partners, Daniel Wright and Rebecca Meyer, former contestants of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser.” This month’s conversation will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 6:30-7:30 PM at the Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health. March’s Community Wellness Conversation topic will be “What’s happening elsewhere in your life can be an indicator of your weight.” The conversations are part of a year-long series sponsored by the Health Department to allow residents the opportunity to ask questions and learn from individuals who have lived through the struggles of weight management and health problems and overcome the obstacles to lead healthier lives.

Wright and Meyer will also be hosting a group fitness class before the LIVE Community Conversation from 5:30 – 6:30 PM at the Health Department. The Health Department is located at 22 N. Georgia Ave. (Mohawk Square) on the third floor.

The fitness class is designed to educate participants on the ease and affordability of exercising without gym memberships or expensive equipment. The fee to participate in the class is $15 or $10 if participant brings two friends. Participants can pay at the beginning of the class.
