Detroit transplant who beat woman and was sentenced to prison arrested after snowmobile chase

MASON CITY – A Mason City man who was sentenced to 12 years in prison this past July, but is out on an appeal bond while he appeals his sentence, once again found himself in handcuffs late Monday night.

According to a Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s incident report two county deputies were able to corner 32-year-old Michael Eric Graham on the campus of Mercy Medical Center after he allegedly tried eluding them on a snowmobile shortly before midnight.

Police impounded the snowmobile and had it transported the Law Enforcement Center by Affordables Towing.

Graham was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail following the chase and charged with six misdemeanor offenses listed as:

A simple misdemeanor count of 321G.17 Violation of Law Enforcement Stop Signal – Eluding.

A simple misdemeanor count of 321G.13(1)(b) Operation in a Careless, Reckless, or Negligent Manner.

A simple misdemeanor count of 321G.9 Operation on a Roadway.

A simple misdemeanor count of 321.99 Fraudulent Use of Registration.

A simple misdemeanor count of 321.98 Operating Without Registration.

A simple misdemeanor count of 321.20B Failure to Carry Proof of Insurance.

Graham has since posted bond, and will have court at a later date for this incident.
