Ex-NFL player faces indecency charges

ATLANTA, Feb. 7 (UPI) — A former NFL player could lose his job as an Atlanta-area school football coach after his arrest on public indecency charges, officials said.

Reginald Burnette, who played for Green Bay and Tampa, was arrested by deputies for exposing himself to an adult female in a Cobb County subdivision, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Wednesday.

Following the alleged Jan. 29 incident, officials at Mount Vernon Presbyterian School placed Burnette on indefinite leave until his case is resolved, said school spokeswoman Allison Toller.

No Mount Vernon students or school employees were involved in the incident, Toller said.

The charge is a misdemeanor. Burnette is free on $1,000 bond.
