PYONGYANG, North Korea, Feb. 5 (UPI) — After a long-range rocket test and threats to detonate a nuclear weapon, North Korea posted an Internet video portraying an American city under attack.

The video, posted to YouTube by North Korea’s official website, shows a man sleeping while rockets rain down on an unidentified American city in a scene reminiscent of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, with the Korean-language caption reading, “Somewhere in the United States, black clouds of smoke are billowing. It seems that the nest of wickedness is ablaze.”

The video, with its “We are the World” piano soundtrack, is the latest in a string of provocative actions from the isolated Communist dictatorship after the United Nations Security Council approved a resolution calling for tougher sanctions if the nation doesn’t abandon its nuclear program following the rocket launch in December, The Guardian of London reported Tuesday.

The North has said it will conduct a controlled detonation of a nuclear device — its third such action following underground blasts in 2006 and 2009. The Security Council has said such a demonstration would be met with harsh international consequences.
