MASON CITY – NIACC freshman post player Lashae Brooks has been selected the ICCAC athlete of the week for the week of Jan. 13-19.
Brooks (Nett Lake, Minn.) scored 23 points with three rebounds and an assist in a 58-55 loss to Southeastern on Jan. 16. She had 11 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots in a 63-36 victory over Southwestern on Jan. 19.
Brooks averages 12.4 points per game (5th in the ICCAC) and 8.3 rebounds per game (6th in ICCAC). She is third in the league with 46 blocked shots.
NIACC (11-9 overall, 4-3 in the ICCAC) returns to action Saturday at Ellsworth. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
