Proposed bridge replacement on U.S. 65 in Story County to be discussed Feb. 5

AMES, Iowa – Jan. 23, 2013 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Tuesday, Feb. 5, to discuss the proposed bridge replacement on U.S. 65 over a bike trail/abandoned railroad property and reconstruction of U.S. 65 in Collins from the south city limits north to approximately 500 feet north of Fourth Street in Story County.
The public is invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5 and 6:30 p.m. at the Collins Area Community Center, 219 Main St.

This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvement. No formal presentation will be made.

Traffic would be detoured during construction using Iowa 210, Story County Road S-27 and U.S. 30.
