Top-seeded Broncos ousted by Ravens in double overtime, 38-35

DENVER – Peyton Manning once again could not overcome the cold weather, and the Baltimore Ravens weren’t ready to let their leader Ray Lewis call it a career.

The Ravens beat the Bronocs 38-35 in a double-overtime thriller in bitter cold in a gritty contest that saw Baltimore rally from a touchdown deficit in the final minute on a broken coverage pass play that tied the game.

Peyton Manning is now 0-4 in playoff games where the temperature is 40 degrees or less.  Manning finished passing 28 for 43 for 290 yards.  He also had two interceptions and a lost fumble.

The Ravens await the winner of the New England Patriots – Houston Texans divisional playoff game Sunday.
