Former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson traveled to North Korea this week on a private humanitarian mission. The delegation consisted of Governor Richardson, Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt, Dr. KA Namkung; Jared Cohen, Director of Google Ideas; as well as some staff members.
According to North Korean media, the delegation on Wednesday visited the Grand People’s Study House in Pyongyang.
“The guests went round several reading rooms and lecture rooms, being briefed on the fact that people and students acquire knowledge about modern science and technology and improve their cultural attainments at the study house,” KCNA reported. “They also visited the E-library of Kim Il Sung University, Korean Computer Center, etc.”
