Want to be a border patrol agent? Here’s your chance

Casa Grande, Ariz. – Border Patrol agents from the Tucson Sector’s Casa Grande Station and CBP officers from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will host an integrated CBP Citizens Academy in Casa Grande beginning Feb. 7. Participants will meet on Thursday evenings from 5 to 9 p.m. for seven weeks, concluding on March 21.

The program is designed to provide members of the community with an inside look into the daily operations of securing the border– at and between the ports – in Arizona. Throughout the course, attendees will be able to participate in interactive demonstrations such as defensive tactics, tracking, and inspections for prohibited items. Participants will also learn about each component’s distinct roles and responsibilities as well as their integrated mission to secure America’s borders.

This program is offered at no cost to participants and all class materials will be provided. Please note that a background check is required and applicants should be in good physical health.

Applications are currently being accepted. Please contact the Tucson Sector Public Affairs Office at (520) 748-3210 for more information.
