MINNEAPOLIS – The bad news kept coming for the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
After learning the all-star forward Kevin Love had re-fractured the same bone in his shooting hand that he had fractured this fall, the Wolves lost 102-97 to Portland at Target Center.
Ricky Rubio also sat out the game with a back problem.
The Wolves trailed by double-digits until a fourth quarter run brought them to within 2 points. The Wolves scored a season-high 36 points in the quarter. But Portland tied a team record with 16 3-pointers and the Wolves couldn’t overcome the deficit.
Nikola Pekovic led the Wolves with 21 points.
