CEDAR RAPIDS – No. 7 Kirkwood topped NIACC 78-68 in overtime in junior college women’s basketball action Saturday.
Kirkwood (14-3 overall, 3-0 in the ICCAC) outscored NIACC 11-1 in overtime.
Alexis Fitzpatrick led Kirkwood with 20 points. Kianna Jacobs was next in line for Kirkwood with 18 points.
NIACC was led by Lateeka Thompson with 22 points. Kadejah Young scored 11 points and Chelsey Jacox scored 10 points.
NIACC (8-7, 1-1) returns to action Wednesday at Iowa Central (11-3, 2-1).
In other league action Saturday, Iowa Lakes topped DMACC 49-46 and Iowa Central routed Ellsworth 75-45.
