DENVER – The Minnesota Timberwolves won a big road game Thursday night in Denver, beating the Nuggets 101-97.
The win by Minnesota snapped an 8-game home winning streak bu Denver.
JJ Barea lead the Wolves with 17 points and 5 assists, and made a huge three pointer late in the game to seal the win.
All-star forward Kevin Love sprained a finger and sat out much of the game, leaving in the third quarter. In 24 minutes, Love still managed 12 points and 17 rebounds.
Minnesota improved to 15-14 overall and 6-10 on the road. They take on Portland Saturday in Minneapolis.
