MASON CITY – A Mason City man was arrested for public intoxication on Wednesday, December 26th.
Yann Lem, 56, was picked up by Mason City police on Wednesday and charged with public intoxication, with court records showing notes describing the incident as “aggravated intoxication.”
If convicted, according to records, this would be Lem’s 7th public intoxication charge and is an aggravated misdemeanor. He faces a court date on January 11th, 2013.
Lem has had a couple of notable run-ins with the law in the recent past.
This past March, Lem was arrested for impersonating an officer. A $625 fine was deferred on the condition that Lem not be convicted of a new crime for one year. However, he still owes the court $235.40 in costs and fees from that incident.
Also, Lem was involved in an incident where witnesses said he jumped out of a moving car.
Lem has previously been charged with a domestic assault (found guilty), an OWI 1st offense (found guilty), trespassing (found guilty) and supplying an underage person with alcohol (found guilty).
