MASON CITY – A convicted felon was picked up Thursday on a warrant for his arrest.
Nicholas Jon Wilmarth was picked up by Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Deputies at about 1 AM Thursday morning near 18th Street SE and Penn Avenue in Mason City.
Wilmarth allegedly ran from the scene of a burglary investigation being conducted by Mason City police on December 8th. A warrant was then issued for his arrest for interference.
Wilmarth was also wanted for failing to appear in court on December 17th for an arraignment for 3rd degree burglary 2nd degree theft and charges (both class D felonies) stemming from a events on November 26th and 29th, respectively.
In addition, Wilmarth is facing a 3rd degree theft charge, an aggravated misdemeanor, after a November 13th incident. Mason City police issued a citation in that case on December 5th.
He is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail at this time on $10,000 cash-only bond for the felony charges and another bond of 10% of $2,000 for the aggravated misdemeanor.
