President Obama is planning to nominate Massachusetts Senator John Kerry to be the next secretary of state, media outlets reported on Saturday.
ABC News said that Obama is waiting to make the announcement out of respect for the victims in Friday’s massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.
Current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who had a medical situation Saturday, is stepping down from the post.
