A survey conducted by the United States Census Bureau shows that more people are moving out of Iowa than moving in.
The survey, called the American Community Survey, shows that in 2011, 74,516 moved out of the state while 70,405 moved in.
Much of Iowa is fighting a trend of declining population, especially western Iowa and rural areas of the state. Several metro areas continue to grow at a rapid pace, however.
