NIC/Corn Bowl boys challenge set for Saturday at NIACC

MASON CITY – The boys North Iowa Conference/Corn Bowl Conference Challenge is set for Saturday in the NIACC gym.
A total of eight games between the two conferences will be held. The first game is set for 10 a.m. with the last scheduled for 8:30 p.m.

Admission for Saturday’s event is $5. All of the proceeds go to the NIACC men’s basketball program.
The girls challenge, which was held Dec. 1, was split 4-4 between the two conferences. Winning for the Corn Bowl were Riceville, Northwood-Kensett, West Fork and North Butler. Winning for the NIC were North Iowa, Newman Catholic, Lake Mills and Osage.

The following is a list of Saturday’s games:
10 a.m. – Riceville (2-2) vs. West Hancock (3-3).
11:30 a.m. – St. Ansgar (1-5) vs. Lake Mills (3-3).
1 p.m. – Northwood-Kensett (2-4) vs. Osage (4-2).
2:30 p.m. – Rockford (1-4) vs. Belmond-Klemme (6-0).
4 p.m. – Nashua-Plainfield (2-4) vs. Garner-Hayfield/Ventura (3-2).
5:30 p.m. – Central Springs (1-3) vs. Newman Catholic (3-2).
7 p.m. – North Butler (3-3) vs. Forest City (3-2).
8:30 p.m. – West Fork (4-0) vs. North Iowa (7-0).
