Michigan becomes latest “right to work” state

On Tuesday, Michigan became the latest state to enact the “right to work” law.

Angry crowds protested outside the state capitol in Lansing as Gov. Rick Snyder (R) signed the two bills that were passed last week by the state legislature.  Both chambers are controlled by Republicans.

The bills make it illegal to force anyone to join a union and to pay union dues.

It is being reported that the “right to work” laws will spread throughout the nation.

If everyone is only earns $8 an hour in the private sector, it will be because businesses are going broke paying high taxes to support government employees’ wages and benefits. That’s what Obama wants. 73% of the new jobs he has created are government jobs. That means we private businesses have to pay more taxes to support those jobs and benefits. Goodbye private income. He wants everyone working for the government and he wants the government to eventually own all business. Destroying income by taxation is the first step. Then businesses are ripe for government takeover.

When all you union bashers are working for a straight $8 an hour with no benefits such as access to group health insurance, don’t come running to the unions you so despise. It it happening now. Soon, your grown children will move back in to your homes with your grandchildren because they can’t afford to live on their own. Bash away morons.

@union-when you bloodsuckers quit demanding more than you are worth in wages and benefits and have to start working for your money our prices will come down to where the rest of us can afford to live. It is damn unreasonable to pay someone $45 p/hour to put in a screw. It just drives up the cost for everyone.

It’s ridiculous to have 3 people do the job 1 person could do in and 8-hour shift. We know how it works. One person to dig a hole, one person to set a post, one person to fill the hole. The union says one person cannot do more than one job so 2 people have to stand around and watch the other one do each job. That’s why any project costs 3 times what it should in labor. I have known union workers who were appalled and ashamed at the wasted labor when 1 guy could have done it all and saved one hell of a lot of money. You will never convince me labor unions are a good thing now. They were needed in the 1800’s, but their need has gone. We have OSHA and other laws to protect workers now. You can bet every single business would dump union labor if they possibly could, and not because of the money. It’s like having a bee buzzing in your ear all the time. You spend all your time dancing around with the union boss instead of concentrating on the job.

About time.

Glad it happened.
