Police: “Phat Pat” spat on officers; no trial till May of ’13

MASON CITY – A Mason City man who was arrested for domestic assault and assault on a peace officer on November 16th plead not guilty at an arraignment hearing on Monday, December 10th.

Patrick Ruben Burgoa Cameron, 21, who calls himself “Phat Pat” on his Myspace page and claims to be a dishwasher at NIACC, had posted $3,000 cash bond and walked free from jail on November 20th. His trial for this latest offense was set for May 17th, 2013.

Mason City police said that when Cameron was arrested for the domestic charge, he spat in one of the officer’s faces and  resisted arrest. Police also said that in 2011, Cameron was arrested for a domestic and struggled with jail staff and officers at the jail.

He can do whatever he wants. It happened in Cerro Gordo County, so it will be another plea bargained down deal, and he’ll be back at it.
