SUV in flames, possible injury

MASON CITY – Mason City emergency responders were at a scene that involved an SUV that was on fire Friday evening at about 7 PM just northwest of East Park, at North Carolina Avenue and 7th Street NE.

Not many details are yet available.  It was said a medical examiner was en route to the location.  Yellow police tape was strung up back in the wooded area that was once a neighborhood but had been flooded out in 2008.  Smoke and steam emanated from the SUV as fire fighters lingered nearby.  Mason City police squad cars had the area west of Carolina Ave. blocked off.

NIT will attempt to get more information from authorities after they have had time to sort out the situation.

Pretty impossible to hush something up when it involves a licensed motor vehicle and a public place. Some stories go beyond the discretion of the authorities to pass on information or the media’s attempt to gloss them over. There are certain things that the public has the right to be informed of.

If the name is true, it is one of those things that we will never know. It will all be secret, buried along with the rest of the well know names in Mason City. Kinda like how when well know people’s kids get in trouble. “Mason City Mafia” this IS A PLACE were it IS WHO YOU KNOW! (Like the old saying) Money makes the world go round.

You mean something like the Husintruit case?
