Obama urges Congress to extend middle tax cuts (video)

PA – President Obama speaks to the American people from a busy factory floor in Pennsylvania about the urgent need to pass the middle class tax cuts, which will give families and businesses preparing for the holidays the certainty they need going into the New Year. Democrats and Republicans must come together to pass one thing that everyone agrees on—extending income tax cuts for 98 percent of American families and 97 percent of small businesses, and there is no reason to wait. The President urges Congress to take action to help grow our economy and strengthen the middle class.

@hapyyguy-I completely agree with you. These people were elected to represent us in Washington. We pay them good money for substandard work. They need to knock off the B.S. and do what is right for the country. The politics needs to stop and the need to start negotiating right now. “both sides of the isle”

did someone just flip the calendar and see what day it is. This day has been coming for months and all you want is tax increases? Get real! we need to cut spending and just to increase now and “hope” to cut later is a fool’s game.

JBJ…to fix the mess we are in now you need to increase revenue and cut spending. Doing only one will not work.

The problem is mohamed obama wants it done with no reductions in spending.

No point in debating someone starting their comments with “mohamed obama”. But the truth is he has put over 1 trillion dollars worth of cuts on the3 table.

Both dem. and rep. say they want to extend the cuts to the middle class. If that is the truth then do it. Extend the tax cuts to the middle class and work the other stuff out after. Congress needs to get off their butts and do their job
