On November 27, 2012, at approximately 1350 hrs. Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported burglary in progress at a residence north of Cedar Falls. While enroute deputies were advised that the reporting party was following a suspect vehicle, however that vehicle was lost. Taken in the burglary were a Generator and several Power Tools.
Through the investigation deputies were able to develop a suspect. The vehicle was located and it was learned that the suspect had been dropped off at a residence in Traer, Iowa.
Sheriff’s Deputies met with Tama County Deputies and went to a residence in Traer where the suspect was located and taken into custody.
The suspect Allan Charles Lofquis, age 30 of 634 2nd ST. Traer had an outstanding arrest warrant in Tama County for Driving While License Barred and was transported to the Tama County Jail. This morning he went before a Magistrate in Tama County and was then released to Black Hawk County Deputies who had obtained warrants charging Lofquis with Theft in the Second Degree, Burglary in the Third Degree, Driving While License Suspended and Driving While License Barred.
Lofquis is being held in the Black Hawk County Jail on a $47,500.00 bond.
