MASON CITY – The No. 5 NIACC men’s basketball team pushed its win streak to seven games with a 97-57 victory over Riverland Community College Tuesday night in the NIACC gym.
NIACC (8-1) led 58-27 at the half and outscored the Blue Devils 39-30 in the second half.
Freshman David Humprhies (Adelaide, Australia) recorded his first career triple double with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Trojans.
Sophomore Chris Davis (Colorado Springs, Col.) scored 26 points with five rebounds, four steals and two assists. The Trojans also received 11 points from sophomore Mike Wagner (LaPorte, Ind.) and 10 points from freshman Sam Skogen (Mason City, Ia.)
Riverland (2-2) was led by Zach Bunch with 12 points.
NIACC returns to action Monday at the Luther College junior varsity in Decorah.
