AMES, Iowa – The Big 12 Conference announced its 2013 league football schedule Tuesday.
The conference shared that several conference games could still have date changes pending network television decisions. Two potential conference date changes already identified involve the Cyclones.
Iowa State will open Big 12 play hosting Texas on either Thursday, Oct. 3 or Saturday, Oct. 5. The Cyclones close the league season at West Virginia on either Friday, Nov. 29 or Saturday, Nov. 30.
The Cyclones will have four conference games at home and five on the road following a non-league slate that includes home games vs. Northern Iowa (Aug. 31) and Iowa (Sept. 14) and a road game at Tulsa (Sept. 21).
Homecoming will be against TCU on Nov. 9 and Family Weekend is set for the Oklahoma State game on Oct. 26.
Iowa State’s bye weeks are Sept. 7 and Dec. 7. This conference rotation will be used in the 2013 season only.
