MASON CITY – The NIACC men’s basketball team is ranked No. 11 in the NJCAA Division II poll released Tuesday.
NIACC (4-1 overall) was unranked in the preseason poll.
The Trojans own victories over the Dakota Wesleyan junior varsity (88-67), Riverland Community College (91-79), Illinois Valley Community College (82-54) and Hibbing Community College (86-63). The lone Trojan loss was a 86-63 defeat to Marshalltown (a NJCAA Division I school).
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at the Waldorf College junior varsity in Forest City. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
The Trojans also play a pair of games at the Dale Howard Classic at Ellsworth in Iowa Falls on Friday and Saturday.
Iowa Lakes (3-1) is ranked No. 16.
