CALMAR, IOWA – One person was killed and another injured in a motorcycle accident near Calmar, Iowa on Friday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol said Saturday that Trish Ann Taylor, 44, of Hawkeye, Iowa was killed while riding on a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Highway 52 two miles north of Calmar, Iowa through a construction zone with a companion, Michael Jay Jermier, 45, of Decorah.
The accident report states that the road surface was uneven due to construction work and the motorcycle crossed the center line of the highway and went out of control. It was not made clear who was driving the motorcycle in the report.
Jermier was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The accident is still under investigation.

You remind me of a person totally removed from society…no friends…no companionship…no job…no compassion…no positive outlook of any kind…sitting at your desk, looking out the window at the world outside and being very afraid to go out into it and experience life as the rest of us do…and yet wasting “our” time by telling us all you can come up with is this person “took a chance” and rode a motorcycle. Other than that, her life had no “significance”…may you die (and soon)…and quickly be forgotten!
What a terrible thing to say. A lady died and no matter what your opinion is she had family and friends. I agree that there are some bikers who have no regard for others, but, most of them are family people who just enjoy the freedom of riding and do respect other people. I don’t think loud pipes are the answer as you can’t tell where they are until they are passed anyway but, I must confess I don’t have a better idea. My sympathy to the family and it just should not happen.

I agree with you, Hey U. These whiners instantly complain about something when HD is mentioned, regardless of the circumstances. If it had been a Honda Goldwing, would that have changed the outcome. I guess it doesn’t matter that someone died. I doubt they would be talking this crap if it would have been their daughter, out having a good time. Two pathetic posts.

Who cares? I do for one. I don’t think I know any of the persons involved but it really does not matter because as fellow motorcyclist (biker if you want) I always feel a sadness when some is injured or killed while out living life and enjoying themselves. I’m not naive and think that all riders ride as safe as can be, but no time will I ever stoop to the level that you have. I would rather go for a ride and not come home then to sit online and troll the blogs. That would be about the lowest form of scumbag shithead actions I can think of. Have a nice life looser!
