(DES MOINES) – Today, Gov. Branstad appointed Carl J. Petersen as judge to the 3A Judicial District.
Petersen, of Lester, received his law degree from Hamline University and is currently serving as Lyon County Attorney. Petersen was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Duffy.
The counties in the Third District are Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Crawford, Dickinson, Emmet, Ida, Lyon, Kossuth, Monona, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Sioux, Woodbury.
