MASON CITY – Shortly before 5:30 pm Friday, members of the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a domestic situation at 15448 300th Court in rural Mason City.
As a result of the deputies’ investigation, 23-year-old Angela Marie Honebrink was arrested and transported to Cerro Gordo County Jail.
Angela Honebrink of Mason City is charged with 4 criminal offenses listed as:
2 aggravated misdemeanor counts of child endangerment
1 serious misdemeanor count of OWI
1 simple misdemeanor count of domestic abuse assault
Honebrink remained in The Cerro Gordo County Jail Saturday afternoon on $4,500 cash only bond pending a court appearance set for 24th at 8:30 am.
Aside from the criminal charges deputies have notified child protective services of the incident. Child protective service has opened its own investigation into the incident.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
This is a perfect example of a habitual offender who constantly gets a swat on the wrist. I know this chick personally and can tell you she hasn’t learned a damn thing. Even after she spent a year in jail for endangering her children lives shes still drinking and doing drugs. It makes me sick that people like this are given so many chances and continually doing the same mistakes. She doesn’t deserve those children and should just let them be in the loving home they are in.

You brag about your arrests, keep doing drugs, and laugh about your behavior. Seriously no matter the reasons acting and subjecting your children to your behavior is abuse. You say your children are your world, no one believes it…. your actions speak loud. You need to seek mental health….oh you have, psychopath… there is no cure … needless to say a methed out psychopath ….no one is safe from you. Move on and do your children a favor and stay out of their lives you are dangeeous, and on a downward slide. i know this woman and she would never knowingly put her children in danger. she is an amazing mother and person and yes has been going through a lot lately with her babydaddy, but does she deserve to be locked up? absolutely not. the chargers are more than likely false and that will be proven in court. shame on you people for talking trash when you don’t know the whole story, and when the charges are in place yet she’s not been proven guilty. you trash talkers need to be ashamed of yourselves and remember to take a look in the mirror before you judge a stranger’s life.
Subjecting her children to danger is unacceptable. I hope she gets the maximum punishment allowed by law. I hope the judge has some big kahunas and does not allow a plea agreement. 10 years of prison should be sufficient time, coupled with probation, community service and counseling. I agree with “wow”, that she never sees her children again alone though. Supervised visits might be an option, provided she completes the above mentioned requirements.
