MASON CITY – The Mason City Police Department is seeking information on a possible stabbing Sunday afternoon.
At about 3:15 PM Sunday, 20 year old Anthony Dale Linderman of Mason City reported that he had been stabbed in the chest.
Police responded and spoke with Linderman in the ER. Linderman said the stabbing occurred near Washington School, near the 700-800 block of North Washington Ave. in an alley a short time ago.
Linderman refused to cooperate with investigators and provide any additional details.
Police then spoke with several people who were outside in this area at the time of the incident. Police were unable to locate blood or the possible crime scene in the area.
Linderman was treated and released from the hospital.
The Mason City Police Department is requesting that anyone who may have information or may have witnessed the incident to please contact the department at 641-421-3636.

he’s an ass clown that got what he deserved. he was probably trying to break into someone’s car & they stabbed him with a screw driver. who cares ?? not me.
So you saying the guy who broke into cars at the court house got stabbed but won’t tell anybody how. Could it be he owed for some drugs and has been out a week and it’s time to pay up? Or did the item he chose to try throwing at the window of his next victim’s car bounce back and hit him just right. The lord works in mysterious ways sometimes.

wonder if I can possibly stab myself, if I have a knife and run from someone I tried to kill and then fall, guess that is a possible stabbing, but then to get free treatment make it a crime someone else did it to me,

Possible stabbing? Either your stabbed or your not. Even if its self inflicted. What kind of place are they running up there?
