For the most part we need to clean up the North End. When it comes to Alley Katz bar it is a two edged sword; pull their license and their clientele spreads out looking for other venues which will lead to further widespread contamination in the city.
On the other hand it makes little sense to allow what is happening on the North End to continue to flourish and grow stronger. We live in a lawful society and the law is suppose to apply to all equally; but here it is not.
Evacuation could start with the health department. It is highly unlikely that the houses where the D-Boys reside are up to code; Plumbing, electrical, along with health should be all over those places; if there are violations then evict.
It is more than likely a center for drug activity, and I realize that the Drug Enforcement Agency must conform to some narrow boundaries when it comes to making arrests, but are they doing anything now? How is it maybe a group of no more than 15 or 20 individuals can hold off an entire police force who is allegedly watching them, and get away with it?
The police now have an accused murder suspect in custody who is revealing information about this Detroit Boy gang. They should have new information now as a result of the recent killing… let’s see what it produces.
If I lived within a block of that house I would want my property tax totally suspended until it was cleaned up; no tax, none. Two blocks, half price. When it was normal once more then the tax could continue. That might spur some action. The next question is this; we must assume the D-Boys came from Detroit…but how did they find this small north Iowa community? Did they read about it in a publication that featured tranquil living, good jobs, low cost of living. Did anyone ever think about that? Did they get a flat tire while driving through town and liked the look of things here, then decided to stay? Our were they recruited to come here to play ball for NIACC and never left? Did their business start in the dorms at NIACC, was that their incubator, then when the season ended and they were dumped, move then to a new and affordable campus located on the North End? Did they send for their cousins to help with the business…probably. I think if you look close enough you will find the East St. Louis Boys and the Chicago Boys as well. All prime recruiting areas for NIACC.
There is a lot to talk about here but few if any are talking especially the police. What is taking place on that front porch with the boys from Detroit is only a scratch on the surface of what really lies underneath.

They don’t work, they think they’re tuff, they don’t own a belt, drugs, they are here to screw YOUR young daughter and make a baby to collect more wellfare but not support them, they are NOT smarter than a 5th grader, they are just like rats, i could go on and on…and ya…they are all ARE all black. Which is unfortuneate because they are giving good black people a bad name. But, this is about being shit bag, not about what color that shit bag happens to be.
One last thing they have in common….they all need more lead in their diet.
Peter, the north side is not the problem. Many upstanding people reside in this part of town, as well as a group of people who are ruining the community by allowing people like you to generalize the area as contaminated. I personally live on the north side and have no problem sleeping at night. Sure, if you poke your nose into these peoples business, then you may feel uneasy at night. Otherwise, life is just fine on the north side. Personally, i believe that more effort should be induced into cleaning these people up, but lay off alley kats. You clearly have no idea what your talking about.
I am well aware that there are some wonderful people living on the North side of town. I have lived here my entire life. But when you sense a bad smell around you you start to take measures to clean it up. I don’t see that happening…unless of course it is some covert operation.
The police are restricted in what they can do but they are doing everything they can or are allowed to do at this point. Just three nights ago there were gun shots fired next door to my house….they missed me however and killed a dog. There I put the bait out now go for it.
That’s EXACTLY what i was talking about in another thread. There’s a lot of things that happen in this city that do not get reported by the media. If most of you knew about it all…you would have a much different picture in your head of what this city is REALLY like. There IS good reason to carry a weapon. Most people in this city are very nieve. Being nieve makes you a victim.

Good questions Peter-I wonder if you will ever get a answer. Another question is what do they live on. I am guessing some type of welfare because in Iowa all you need is a residence to get welfare and title 19. It is instantaneous when you get a address you are eligible. These people don’t work so they must live off the system which means us taxpayers. If the police crack down and start stopping them every time they mob up they will find drugs on them and then we could put them in jail except our judges would just turn them loose. Maybe it’s time for some vigilante work.
