MASON CITY – The Mason City Community School District staff met for their final 2011-2012 school year all staff meeting on Wednesday, June 6 in the Lincoln Intermediate gym. Superintendent Micich shared a message thanking the staff for their hard work and for everything they did for their students during this school year and shared the excitement of the coming year and the things to look forward to as we move on to preparing for the 2012-2013 school year. The meeting culminated with a slide show “2011-2012 Year in Review” and recognition of those staff retiring from Mason City schools.

She is a joke… No control over the schools she is suppose to be over seeing….. Let’s go back to the David Long and Eldean Mathison days… Those guys took care of business and our schools once were amazing. Now I would hate to send my dog to their school. Sadly I am a MC resident and do pay taxes….

Let me get this straight. The teacher do the hard work in the trenches with the kids all day making a fraction of what this dolt makes. NIT really needs to cover the schools and hold it accountable. The Globe is pandering to the school system. Come on NIT get on this.

Despicable how these folks feel entitled to this kind of compensation. I heard there are several in the MC schools district making six figures. Maybe more than several. These people are chair warming fools who earn nothing and do nothing. Boot them all out, now!!

OK – an apology for the hiring/paying process of this most definately OVER PAID MC Schools employee!!! She is over paid and spends way too much taxpayers money ! She also draws a paycheck from the Clear Lake Schools system
Last person I saw with mosses antlers that big was Sara Paling and we all see how that turned out….can we send her to Alaska too?
She rents a home in Mason City and is from Des Moines and hasn’t made official roots here by purchasing a home. So she pays no property taxes. I don’t care if the person she rents from pays property taxes, she isn’t worth the money we are paying her. I don’t understand why the school board hasn’t gotten rid of her yet. I am a parent and am very disappointed of how she has ran things with our district since she came here. As far as I’m concerned, she can head back to her elite suburb in Des Moines anytime.
So in other words once she has worn out her welcome here she can easily vanish, move on to greener pastures… could be her plan all along… she is much too sophisticated for us north iowa rubes. I am ill that we pay this woman like this. The world is a mess!
I’m not sure if you’re agreeing with the previous comment or not. But sorry, I am not a fan of Anita Micich! Not too much of a fan of our school board either, but they are elected officials, so not sure if they can be “let go” so to say. But it’s time to “let go” of Anita. She’s done nothing but spend, spend, spend, and it seems to me that she’s spending more on renovations than actually spending on bettering the kids education. And her pay??? Way out of line!

I heard she went to Spain or somewhere on a student group trip and charged some students at the beach five bucks each to watch their purses while they dipped in the ocean. Is that true?
