MASON CITY – Mason City police responded to a missing child reported by phone at 8:49 p.m. Monday evening at Bonanza Restaurant, 2700 4th Street SW.
It was reported that a very young child was wandering alone in the parking lot at that location.
One caller told NIT that the child “couldn’t have been much older than 2-3 years old.”
According to the police report, officers arrived on the scene and transported the child to police headquarters. The child was located by the callers. The report says that a short time later, the child’s mother and D.H.S arrived at the station.
It appears no arrests were made in the incident.
