MCPD arrest burglary suspect this morning

MASON CITY – Mason City police arrested a Mason City man on suspicion of burglary Saturday morning.

At about 3:20 a.m., officers responded to an altercation at 702 9th Street NE.  Officers discovered that the suspect, Harold Victory Stinnett, 22, had forced his way into the house and assaulted the occupant inside.  The fight then spilled out into the front yard.  Stinnett fled before officers arrived.  The victim gave officers a description and after a brief search of the area, Stinnett was apprehended and arrested.

Stinnett was charged with 1st degree burglary, a class B felony, and held on $25,000 bond at the Cerro Gordo County Jail.

Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs assisted in the case.

SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.

I was sitting on my porch on N. Madison and watched someone look through my neighbor’s Windows, I told them today about it. I think neighbors in this community need to come together and look out for each other and not be a bunch of haters.

If someone broke into my house I think I’d be well within my rights to pull a gun on them, even shoot if I felt threatened. Putting this guy down is the only way its going to stop. The past is a good indicator of future behavior (statistically speaking of course). More shame for Mason City.

You all need to shut your mouth about my brother! I’m getting so pissed and sick of people talking shit about my family. Until you know the whole story about something that happens then you should keep your mouth shut! The little chicken shut that had to pull a gun, wow really, you need a gun to defend yourself! If you’re gonna start shit with someone learn how to fight instead of pulling a gun like a little bitch!

It might be because your entire family is a bunch of trashy meth heads who steal from anybody they can.

You have got to be kidding me! You mean to tell us; that you (or your slug brother) can forcibly enter someone’s home and the homeowner should not have the right to get a weapon of some sort to defend themselves? IF a person “enters” someone’s dwelling uninvited such as this story indicates, then to me, you (or your slug brother) deserve exactly what happens to you. If the homeowner in this case did in fact have a “gun” as you allege, then your brother is very lucky that he didn’t get shot.

If your brother is such a “man” then why did he flee the scene before officers arrived? Seems to me that the real bitch might be your brother.

Your brother is lucky he didn’t get shot. Next time he might not be so lucky. Anyone who forces their way into a home deserves whatever they get.

I have said this quite a few times… If you encroch apon my household or my family with intent to do harm I will do WHATEVER it takes to remove the threat.

It is ashame the home owner didn’t just shoot this tweeker.

A search of the Globe’s archives shows he was arrest for the same exact thing in 2010 and dealing meth in 2008. As usual the Globe did not follow up so his subsequent plea bargains handed out by our court system do not show unless you go to Iowa Courts Online.

Is there anything that crossed the line that our DA will not plea bargain?

OneEyed, good post, my sentiments exactly.

i think they meant to say gave not game

spelling error went unnoticed becasue it did nto change the story whoever the sentence with …game officers a description should have be gave

Spell check would have told them that the word was spelled correctly. As stated before, the stories need to be proof read. Maybe you two should have someone ‘stupid check’ your comments before they are posted?

Anonymos-What are you, a retired english teacher. Get off the crap. If you want to find errors look at the GLOB. I understood everything in the article and that’s what counts. Get a LIFE.

Now to the important stuff. It seems like we see this guy all the time. Time to lock him up.

Spell check.! And to think we get our information form here..

If you dont like what you see/read MOVE ON!

LMAO……………. @WOW you need to spell check.

Every time I see this losers name, (and I see it a lot)
it makes me laugh. VICTORY!!!!!

Spell check wouldn’t catch that error. A proof reader may need to be employed though.

Anonymous, are you a chronic complainer, give it up, pleeeeease. I understood the story completely, even with the misspelling. Just wondering.

Do you guys not have spell check?

And YOU are starting to get on my nerves! Move along
