MASON CITY – Mason City police arrested a Mason City man on suspicion of burglary Saturday morning.
At about 3:20 a.m., officers responded to an altercation at 702 9th Street NE. Officers discovered that the suspect, Harold Victory Stinnett, 22, had forced his way into the house and assaulted the occupant inside. The fight then spilled out into the front yard. Stinnett fled before officers arrived. The victim gave officers a description and after a brief search of the area, Stinnett was apprehended and arrested.
Stinnett was charged with 1st degree burglary, a class B felony, and held on $25,000 bond at the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs assisted in the case.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
