Additional charges filed in dealership embezzlement case

by Matt Marquardt –

MASON CITY – The Cerro Gordo County Attorney’s office today confirmed that new charges have been brought against two former employees of a Mason City auto dealership.

In February, Tim Behm and John Behm were fired from Mason City Ford, arrested and charged with first degree theft (class C felony) and ongoing criminal conduct, (class B felony).

In addition to those charges, Tim Behm has been charged with twelve counts of forgery and four counts of fraudulent practices, online records show.

John Behm has had one additional count of forgery added to the original charges brought against him.

An arraignment date of April 16th, 2012 has been set for Tim Behm, John Behm and Scott Behm, who had no additional charges filed against him.

They are car dealers after all. And we all know that car dealers are thieves and crooks and cannot be trusted. Car dealers rank at the bottom along side carnival workers and lawyers.

Yes and remember who the accusers are when you are writing about the fact that car salesmen are not honest. It is possible we are not seeing both sides.

If they would steal from the people they work for they will steal from you. Their word is obviously no good. I wouldn’ buy anything from them.

Scott Behm was very fortunate to not be charged on this very Holy weekend, his other heinous crime of “thou shalt not committ adultery” shame on one of my flock to have so many adulterous affairs

common sense

Father, he wouldn’t let you molest him so now it’s payback time?

I would still buy from Scott any day. Tim I never trusted.

Tim Behm is a “real case” and I am not surprised by these charges. I would think they would NOT be filing all of these charges without ample evidence and a strong case.

You can be assured the law enforcement people have all their ducks in a row. it won’t be long now and they will go from selling cars to making license plates for the cars.

I would definitely buy a car from these men. No reason not to. They haven’t been proven guilty of anything and none of them accepted their plea deals. The police dept has squat on them. Skarlis was having a bad day when he fired half the dealership. Had a little sand downstairs.

Absolutely, I have bought every car I have ever owned from Chris Behm. I just recently purchased a car from Pritchards since thats where the Behms are now. Skarlis has lost my business for good.

Somebody accepted a plea deal. You don’t see the name of the bookkeeper in any of the articles written. Please don’t come with all the crap about they are all innocent….they got arrested and charged, the rest is rudimentary. In society there are consequences to theft, and they are serious. Think about the LaFrenz family who were forced to sell because these people broke them; this is a family whose livelhood was destroyed by parasitic people with no moral values.

You mentioned in you comments “they got arrested and charged, the rest is rudimentary” Unless this is a different Peter Children, don’t I remember you being charged with more than one count of something back in the 80s? Let the courts decide!

BladyBlah, why do you want to send someone to prison befor they are proven guilty? Jim

My point is that they will probably only get probation, but if someone else with LESS money were to do the same it would be off to prison for them. And I am sure they had a reason to arrest them, they just don’t arrest people in this class WITHOUT proper evidence to get some sort of conviction. I say we take a few pages from other countries and have HARSHER punishments, as seen here http://brainz.org/13-most-brutal-and-inhumane-judicial-punishments-still-used-today/
