AMES, Iowa- The Cyclones are dancing again! The Iowa State men’s basketball team received its first NCAA Tournament berth since 2005, as a crowd of approximately 1,500 fans shared in the celebration with the Cyclone squad in Hilton Coliseum today. The 68-team field was unveiled this evening on the giant videoboard.
It is Iowa State’s 14th NCAA appearance in school history.
Iowa State earned the No. 8 seed and will face defending national champions No. 9 Connecticut on March 15 at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Ky. The game will begin at apporixmately 8:20 p.m. CDT on TBS.
