Minnesota Timberwolves rookie sensation Ricky Rubio will miss the rest of the 2011-12 NBA season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, according to reports on YahooSports.com and Sports Illustrated.com
Rubio, 22, underwent an MRI exam today that revealed the extent of the injury he suffered late in the fourth quarter Friday night of the Timberwolves’ 105-102 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers at Target Center.
The Barcelona native was injured when he collided with Lakers star Kobe Bryant while Bryant was dribbling away from Timberwolves guard-forward Martell Webster.
