Sarah Ollman led the Mohawks with games of 223 and 171 for a total of 394. Rebecca Broerman had games of 158 and 195 for a total of 353.
Coach Steve Chuck had plenty of praise for his team. “Mason City finished in 8th position which isn’t bad for a first time showing at state. The first game was tough as they had to get used to the crowd and its noise. All in all, the team did great and we had a fun time. The pep bus was awesome. They really cheered on the team and made a lot of noise,” Chuck said.
Mason City missed 7th place by just two pins to Cedar Rapids Kennedy.
