MASON CITY – The City of Mason City may have a new Human Resources Manager.
City Administrator Brent Trout is recommending City Council approval to hire Perry Buffington for the position.
According to a City Hall memo, an “interview team” talked with “several qualified candidates” and chose Buffington.
Trout says that Buffington “has many years of experience with human resources in the private sector and municipal government level.
Buffington would take the job at an annual salary of $73,403.20 and instantly receive 3 weeks of vacation time.
According to a LinkedIn.com portfolio page for Perry Buffington, he is currently employed by the City of Rochester, MN as Benefits and Safety Administrator. He also worked as Human Resources Manager for Holcim for over 2 years and held the same position for IMI Cornelius for 10 years.
