Sustainable Development is a movement with political goals that has achieved an enormous amount while being largely portrayed as altruistic. I would encourage everyone to research the worldview and beliefs that lie behind this positive “green” spin.
THE LOCAL FACE OF AGENDA 21:
Mayor Eric Bookmeyer laid out his plan for “sustainable growth” in his state of the city message to the City Council Tuesday night.
“There are three key components to becoming a sustainable community,” he said. “They overlap each other: economic prosperity, social and cultural vibrancy, and environmental and ecological integrity. (Three words all found in Agenda 21’s logo)
Has your town or city been infiltrated by United Nations polices of Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development?
Mayor Bookmeyer’s state of the city message on Tuesday night is all the proof I need that Mason City has indeed been taken over by a radical left wing Mayor and his gang.
Here are symbols used by this movement. Look for them or something similar to show up in your “official” government documents.
Agenda 21 is very socialistic. At its roots are the United Nation countries that promoted and got this adopted in 1992. All have poor records on human rights and respecting freedom.
The underlying premise needs government to ‘spread the wealth’ to finance their agenda or little is accomplished.
In America, Public/Private ventures, through one kind of government program or another, have been used to promote Agenda 21 in cities all across the USA.
MicroEnterprize, Tax Increment Financing, and a $100,000.00 to Harley Davis are examples of how Socialistic Mason City’s Government has become. When you couple that with Mayor Bookmeyer’s dictatorial attitude, you can include the Communist moniker.
Mason City’s local government, Mayor/City Council all support Agenda 21. Mayor Bookmeyer knows what he is doing as well as some of the other council members. Some on the council probably don’t know about Agenda 21, and are following blindly through ignorance.
To conclude: I have read extensively about Agenda 21, researched in depth all the different groups (the list is huge, there are well over 1000 nationwide) who are tied together promoting this concept in America and have concluded that if we don’t start talking about this and informing the unsuspecting voters/taxpayers, this country will we be transformed into a 3rd world Communist/Socialist Country, without a shot being fired.
They have already taken over Mason City’s local government. You may find this concept hard to swallow, because no one wants to admit to being duped. We have!

Instead of popping-off w/out doing any research, why not take the time to find out what Agenda21 and ICCLE (sp?) are then make up your mind. If you’re one who ascribes to the belief that animal farts melted the glaciers you’ll probably like it.
That is what happens when we vote a mayor in that has basically no business or work experience. College does not cut it for real world experience. How many people received college education and then went out to find how drastically different the real world is? Even a few years of working somewhere is nothing. You become so much wiser with age and experience no matter what the professors try to tell you–after all they want to substantiate their job and gain a feeling of importance like everyone else. Whoever talked him into running, if they had any business experience should be ashamed of themselves. Get a clue.

With all the exposure on the internet about Bookmeyer and this Agenda 21 the majority of the people are clueless.
Somehow we have to get this knowledge and it’s explanation into the hands of the ‘general population’.
I have come to the conclusion that most people just don’t get involved and don’t want to put the effort into finding out what is really going on.
The Globe Gazette works hard at keeping the issues low key so the electorate don’t get upset.
Well, somebody better start getting the truth out and stir up the quite, uniformed majority.
Expect to see more of the same from the bookmeyer camp with the upcoming multipurpose center. All the reporting staff hand picked by bookmeyer and they know after the CES,Pam Myre incident it does not matter if you are speaking for the citizens its his way or your out. Willing to bet his number one pocket pal Tornquist will be at the front.

Let me add one more thought.
The “Bleed” is going to stop one way or another. It always does.
It is my hope that it is stopped in a non-violent way. My fear is that it won’t.
Hopefully, when Bookmeyer and his colleges read these blogs and study the bigger picture, they will come to their senses.
The best way to change all of this is to stop the Public/Private ventures using taxpayers money and put regulations in place that return Banks back into the business of loaning the money and taking the risks. This will create wealth for all of us instead of spreading the wealth up, which is where government and the majority of the people themselves now!

The duping comes from the use of altruism. Check this word out. Agenda 21 has all of us in a trance using the technique of altruism.
By definition ‘altruism’ promotes the chances of others at a cost to ones own.
We are being had!
Joe and others like him better get serious about this. You non-believers need to understand that there is a positive and a negative side to all things.
Agenda 21 takes advantage of all that is decent (positive) in us and turns it inward to a point until we have nothing left to give.
That my friends is where we all find ourselves today.

look I’m just like the rest of you and i want good things to happen to mason city and me and my family. with that said, i just spent the last four hours researching agenda 21. and i gotta tell you there is a lot of information out there some of it sounds great and some sounds spooky. the three components of agenda’s 21 stability. 1. Vibrant economy 2. environment 3. social equity/justice. so folks i went back and listened to mayor Bookmeyer’s address to the city on Jan.17th. where he says he wants to make mason city a sustainable community. and his 3 comps are. economic prosperity 2.social and cultural vibrancy 3. environmentally economical integrity. play the video of the address to the city @ the 14 min. mark. it sure sounds on in the same i hope our city leaders move slowly on this and make sure our citizens are engaged and have full awareness before they adopt it.
People you are getting behind in your reading if you are not aware of Agenda 21. It is no conspiracy theory, it is just some people believe that central planning is the answer to things. Closer to home is Smart Growth, Sustainable Living and USDA Rural Development. I think it’s Erick Erickson on redstate.com has an article on a topic in that he asks the question who wants a public and business community dependent on government?

Come on people. This is Mason City Friggin Iowa. It’s a simple town with simple people and simple council people. There is no grand conspiracy. These folks got voted in by you and they are just ordinary people trying to make a difference. They stick their necks out and try. What do they get? A bunch of conspiracy theorists writing dumb responses. If you hate what they do, get in the game. Run for an office. Volunteer for a board. walk a ditch and pick up some trash. Their are a lot of ways you can help improve this community. Take a stop out of your comfort zone and get your hands dirty.

The earlier comment about socialism and other peoples money is valid. Most people have not been taught how destructive socialism really is.
Our public schools have been overwhelmed with the “blind eye” to free enterprise economics and government, all with he help of a real liberal curriculum. Most teachers are socialists and to stupid to know it.
People better take Agenda 21 serious, learn about it, and how it affects all of us. We all need to fight like hell against Agenda 21 and the use of their left wing agenda in our local governments. If we don’t, we are going to continue seeing a more destructive economy. If we don’t get control, our government and freedom will be lost.

Seriously, do you think a bunch of government employees sit around and work toward a world ran with black helicopters? There’s a LOT of crap on Google about Agenda21 – but there’s a lot of truth too… hard to tell what’s what. It is real, and it is a UN thing, and none of the ends are good.
If you go to google and type in agenda 21, 11 million pages come up. It has to be real. The best thhing to do with this guy is start a recall process. Just place the petitions around town.
I have just starting to hear about Agenda 21 in recent weeks. One need not a tinfoil hat to questioning this U.N. brainchild agenda. I don’t like it.
