On Tuesday 52-year-old Allen Ray Brooking, of Mason City, was sentenced ten years in prison after plea bargaining to one of five possessions of a controlled substance with intent to deliver charges. In exchange the other four charges were dismissed, along with two counts of 3rd offense possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

Brooking had been arrested along with fourteen other defendants in July of this year as part of an investigation by the North Iowa Drug Task Force.

The charge stems from Brooking’s delivery of methamphetamine on four separate occasions between August and September 2010 during controlled buys by the North Iowa Drug Task Force. One more controlled buy was conducted on October 5th,2010 in which Brooking delivered marijuana.
