Law enforcement searching for escapee from Beje Clark

Mason City police took an absence from custody report from Beje Clark a residential treatment / work-release facility, located at 818 15 Street SW in Mason City on Friday afternoon.

Currently absent is 32-year-old Willie York who had been allowed to leave on furlough to search for a job and never returned.

York is serving a 20-year sentence for robbery and terrorism in a 1999 shooting incident in the 900 block of North Federal in Mason City. In the incident, York was found guilty of firing multiple shots into an occupied apartment’s window. Court records show an attempted murder charge in the incident was dismissed.

According to online court records Willie York has twice been convicted on escape charges from Beje Clark 2009 and 2011, yet repeatedly is sent to the facility.

I find it interesting all the media is covering his escape while Beje squirms under the spotlight. Keep squirming Beje administrators cause we know you have at least two others on the run at this very moment at it is coming to the surface.

Peter, while I like your thinking, you know that will never happen. Groups like PETA, NAACP, Save the whales, the tree huggers, snail darter fans, etc. and all the other do gooder groups that I can’t think of, will see to that. We have become a very pacifistic country, where the criminals have it better then the victoms… 🙁 I think that Echo, might be on to something… 🙂

John, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, National Association of American Colored People, Save the Whales, Greenpeace etc., have absolutely nothing to do with prison reformation and the style of punishment inflicted. Solitary confinement is actually a much safer form of punishment. It’s well-known that prisoners are assaulted, raped, harassed, bullied etc. in prisons. Solitary confinement would give prisoners a chance to reflect on their problems and actions and do so in peace. It would be a much better system. Take this debate over to my latest article if you want to continue to discuss it please. It’s found here.

Beje Clark was suppose to be a second chance for people its clear this guy doesn’t want to change his ways and we should not have to pay to keep him in prison for life either. We need to start thinking about the death penalty for people who will continue to break the law. Why should people who obey the law keep supporting this guy in prison or in Beje Clark they have it better then most of us. Three meals a day health care paid for while in custody its just not right.

Death Penalty? Ridiculous. Way over the top. Not rationale thinking Echo. Read this instead.

I have a solution for these type of problems. I’m preparing an article about it soon. Basically the gist of it relies on prison reform. Prison in my scenario, no longer becomes a social endeavor, but rather an isolative true punishment. In my proposal, criminals would be placed in solitary confinement and never interact with other prisoners…EVER. They would not work, they would not play cards, watch tv, read…nothing. They would be in the hole for the duration of the sentence. Prisons as a social apparatus are part of the problem. Isolation.

What if it is for marijuana that you so admittedly promote Peter? Or is that were your double standard starts? The law is the law, unless Peter smokes it?

Marijuana would immediately be decriminalized to grow or possess for private use. Selling it on a commercial level is another story and would require more details to be worked out. Basically the general rule of thumb is whatever grows naturally, the government could never ban or make criminal. Think about how ridiculous that is. Banning a natural plant that grows in the wild. What kind of foolishness is that? Think about it.

Like Heroin?
