NIACC men beat Hibbing CC, go into break with 8-7 record

VIRGINIA, Minn. – NIACC men’s basketball will go into the winter break with a winning record after topping Hibbing Community College 76-71 on Saturday.  It was NIACC’s fifth straight win and moved them to 8-7 overall.

A pair of Trojans had double-double performances.  Sophomore post player Kendale Dunn(Cleveland, OH) had 16 points and 13 rebounds, and freshman Darius Wilson (Colorado Springs, CO) had a 14 point-10 rebound game.

Chris Davis (Fr., Colorado Springs, CO) had another good day scoring with 12 points.  It was the eleventh time he scored at least ten points in a game this season.

Michael Wagner (Fr., LaPorte, IN) had his best day scoring this season with 12 points, andDominique Wright (Fr., Colorado Springs, CO) reached his third straight double digit point performance with 10.

NIACC will next play at conference rival Iowa Lakes Community College on January 4.  It will be NIACC’s first game of the conference season.
