VIRGINIA, Minn. – The NIACC women’s basketball team topped Mesabi Range Community and Technical College 58-51 on Friday night behind a career-high 31 points from Kika Greenlee (St. Louis Park, MN).
Georgina Campbell (Fr., Feilding, New Zealand) and Sadie Pittman (So., Cape Girardeau, MO) both scored eight points in the win.
The Trojans, now 6-3, and Mesabi Range were tied at 51 going into the final couple of minutes, but the Trojans were able to hit free throws and shut out the Lady Norse the rest of the way.
This was the first of two games for the Trojans at the Mesabi Range Classic. NIACC will play against Hibbing Community College (MN) tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
