MASON CITY – At approximately 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs and Fire Department personnel were dispatched to a fire on Thrush Avenue. A combine was reported on fire and spreading to the crops.
The fire was put out in a timely manner, and the crops were watered and securely dampened.
